Tom Laichas’s poetry collections include Three Hundred Streets of Venice California (FutureCycle Press, 2023), Sixty-Three Photographs from the End of a War (3.1 Press, 2021), and Empire of Eden (The High Window Press, 2019). His work has appeared or is forthcoming in Prairie Schooner, MacQueen’s Quinterly, Hawai’i Pacific Review, The Los Angeles Times, Plume, The Moth (Ireland), The Irish Times, BarBar, and elsewhere. He has been nominated for the Pushcart Prize, has won awards at Puerto del Sol and Jabberwock Review, and was Featured American Poet at High Window Review (UK).
Tom holds a Ph.D. in History from UCLA, and taught for over thirty years at Crossroads School in Santa Monica. He has also served as Senior Editor at the journal World History Connected,
